July 24, 2012 Board Meeting Agenda Item #24 Title APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN SARASOTA COUNTY AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA (SARASOTA COUNTY TECHNICAL INSTITUTE) Description The School Board of Sarasota County, Florida (Sarasota County Technical Institute) will provide to Sarasota County, Workforce Readiness Classes for VI-PER Program participants and General Education Development (GED) classes for VI-PER Program participants. Recommendation That the Agreement between Sarasota County and The School Board of Sarasota County, Florida (Sarasota County Technical Institute) be approved. Contact WHITE & CANTEES/MORROW Financial Impact Sarasota County shall pay the School Board $10,282.00 (97 units at $106 each) for Workforce Readiness Classes for VI-PER Program participants and $9,322.00 (50 units at $186.44 each) for General Education Development (GED) Classes for VI-PER Program participants.
